Meet & Melt a humble, friendly and welcoming ice cream café. It sells a range of desserts such as ice cream, Shibuya toast, waffles and milkshakes. You will be spoilt for choice in the café.

Meet & Melt was featured in New paper on June 24, 2016 (http://www.tnp.sg/m/makan/meet-melt-oozing-goodness) where I was draw by the caption of “Oozing with goodness” so I have request bf to bring me there to satisfy my craving.

It was located at void deck of 915 Tampines Street 91. The ice cream palour was really small. There is only 1 table indoor. But they have place tables and fans outside the café, so that more diners could enjoy the food served.

Within the café, you could see ice cream in the fridge and lots of instagram post being stick to the wall. It was really amazing to see so many people visited this place and commented on their food.

Diners could choose a wide variety of ice cream from their display to try.

They have a “menu” being hang up at the top for easy viewing of patrons. If you are still unsure what to eat, we can look at the pictorial menu at the side of the wall.

We wanted to order the Kinder Bueon Mint Chocolate milkshake ($14.90) but was not available. So we settle down with Black Charcoal Lava Toast ($14.90).  The lava we can choose a choice of original thai milk tea or thai green tea.

After a short wait for about 10 mins, the toast was being served.  The toast was slightly crispy and soft the inside. There is light buttery taste from the toast. Upon cutting open the toast. Hot flowy thai milk tea lava flows out.

I find the lava too watery. It taste as though a freshly brew thai milk tea was being pour in. It would have been better with a thicker texture to create a lava texture.

But I must say it serves a generous scoop of ice cream and the colorful and artistic cereals helps to create colours to appetize us. The cookies & cream ice cream is also pretty good, with large chunks of oreos within

Maybe we should visit another time to give other food a try before concluding if it is worth travelling to the east for it. But good news is that it will be shifing to scape by the end of July. It is more centrally located thus making it more accessible.
